Purpose of role
- Promote and maintain strong relationships with local government and stakeholders and all SSG to enable cane production growth for the business.
- Ensure adherence to company people management practices for compliance with Tongaat Hulett Rules and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement with new small-scale farmers and coordinating all assessments for new farmers including mapping and cane supply agreements.
- Engagement with local authorities including land conflict resolution through government at low levels.
- Assist on land certificates, water licenses, and other legal documentation for small-scale farmers.
- Assist on new land development for small-scale sugar farmers.
- Creating and organizing new associations including their registration in a national magazine.
- Provide technical assistance to the farmers with good cane production practices to increase production and productivity.
Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in Business Administration, Agriculture, or any related field
Experience
- Up to 10 years relevant experience in Business Administration is an advantage.
