Purpose of Role

Defends and grows the Huletts brand market share in both the domestic and export markets through the formulation and implementation of a competitive and commercially viable marketing strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering in-depth knowledge and insights about company’s route to market, customer behaviour, competition and emerging market opportunities through market intelligence and periodic research.
  • Developing and implementing effective advertising, promotion and marketing communication strategies to defend and grow the Huletts brand equity and market share.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective digital marketing strategy.
  • Reviewing the company’s product portfolio and developing new products to ensure the company’s portfolio is healthy, balanced and aligned to market needs.
  • Constantly assessing the company’s selling and marketing capability to ensure effective market coverage in all key market segments and distribution channels.
  • Analyse available data to get insights on the effectiveness of the company’s decisions on product range, value proposition, pricing, distribution channels and make recommendations to improve competitiveness and commercial viability.
  • Organising marketing events such as product launches and trade exhibitions. ▪ Managing instore merchandising activities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts through regular and periodic business review meetings with key trade partners in the domestic and export markets.
  • Preparing marketing reports for Senior Management, Board Committees and the Board.
  • Developing and implementing an effective public relations campaign which ensures the company has a positive image among its key stakeholders.
  • Preparing marketing Opex and Capex budgets.

 

Qualifications  &  Experience 

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a track record of achieving targets and driving growth.
  • A minimum of 3 years working knowledge of managing a team.
  • Functional knowledge in exporting or international trade.
  • Experience in SAP would be an added advantage
